This little mountain village is nestled in Haute-Savoie, 30 kilometres from Lake Geneva (Lake Léman), 15 minutes from the Swiss border and 1h30 from Geneva. Abondance’s ski resort is linked to the Portes du Soleil ski domain, one of the largest ski domains in the world. A remarkable Alpine village, in Abondance there is a multitude of activities and events, in both winter and summer. Abondance is also a breed of cow, and a type of cheese, which also contribute to the reputation of this incredible place.

Health measures in Ski resortsPress release for French ski domains, 21st November 2021:
Face coverings are mandatory for everyone over the age of 11 in all the ski lifts and waiting queues. They are also recommended for children 6 to 11 years old. These face coverings must either be a category 1 surgical or fabric masks. Neck warmers covering the face that filter are also authorized as an alternative.
A Health Pass is also MANDATORY, and controls will be carried out at the ski lifts and on the ski domain.

The Ski Domains
Discover the DomainsIn Abondance, the Essert ski domain, and its 17km of slopes, will open following government authorizations to 28th March 2020. The village also has shuttle bus links to the Portes du Soleil ski domain, one of the biggest domains in the world.
New: the Montagnes d’Evian ski domain. With this ski pass you can ski in Abondance, Bernex and Thollon-les-Mémises.
